Start the year in full force right from the beginning with new products and ideas at metall München 2011. This European trade fair in southern Germany will kick off the new year for the metal sector from 16 – 19 March 2011.

A user-oriented trade fair for metal working in industry and trade, metall München is held every two years at the New Munich Trade Fair Centre. Offering the perfect balance between products and investment opportunities, this trade fair has been impressing the metal sector since 2007 as a link between industry, supplier and trade.

metall München is raising its profile even more in 2011 with an added focus on “surface technology” in addition to machine tools, precision tools, metrology and services. Surface technology covers everything from powder coating and slide grinding to galvanisation.

The trade fair organiser, GHM Gesellschaft für Handwerksmessen mbH, has as objective “more exhibitors, more hall space, more visitors”. This seems an achievable goal: the heart of metal working traditionally beats in southern Germany, in economically strong Bavaria and Baden-Württemberg. The neighbouring countries of Austria, Switzerland, Italy and the Czech Republic are also attractive markets. You too can benefit from metall München’s central location within a dynamic group of markets, both within and outside of Germany!

Interesting visitor target groups are also expected to return in 2011, representing industry and trade equally: the automobile and supply industry, electrotechnology and electronics, precision mechanics and optical industry, and mechanical engineering and plant construction. Visitors from the fields of steel and light alloy construction, tool and mould construction, special machine construction and metal processing also have the date firmly set in their diaries.

Additionally, metall München is offering special exhibits and a programme of fringe events which add weight to the trade fair. The “Pimp your future” training park, “Job+career” event and a congress with the Head of the Bavarian craft guild will attract even more visitor groups.
